Earlier this year, we started on this kitchen renovation over on beautiful Vashon Island, and even though there are still a few touch ups to do yet, we are all very proud of the way it came out, and I just couldn’t wait to share some pictures. Can you tell me what stain you used on the gray flooring and what the mix ratio is? I just bought a vacation home in Maine and decided last week that I want the old world French style gray flooring. I am having the floors sanded on Monday the 25th and then stained and I need to help my hardwood floor guy figure out the right stain combination. any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Diana! This is actually a prefinished engineered floor, so I can’t really help you with this one, but what we usually do is sand a portion of the floor and apply some different samples for our customers to choose from. It’s really important to see it on the actual floor (as opposed to a color swatch or a scrap piece of wood). And make sure you look at it in different lights too! You’ll be amazed how much difference that can make! Good luck!
